Windowsill gardening

By Nancy Anne Harbord

We grew all kinds of things in our apartment windows this summer – this combination of pak choi and mizuna (Japanese mustard leaf) was one of the best.

It grew quickly, vibrantly and the shapes looked super cool.

Our tomato plants didn’t go quite so well – I didn’t trim them at all and three plants have now grown into a huge, unwieldy tomato supernova that is blocking the best view in my flat.

Did you have any luck in the garden this year? Or on your windowsills?
