These outrageously fresh grapefruits called to me from the grocer. So shiny and bright with their beautiful pinks, oranges and corals.
Grapefruits are one of my favourite fruits, one of the healthiest you can eat. Low in sugar, but packed with nutrients and antioxidants, it is particularly supportive of heart health and blood sugar regulation.
I squeeze mine into fizzy water to make super healthy soda or add to salad dressings and sauces. Fresh fruit cocktails are another fave.
I also saw a lovely salad on Not Without Salt’s Instagram the other day – pink grapefruit, thinly slivered ginger, pomegranate, honey, flaky vanilla salt and fresh mint. Sounds good to me.
