There are few vegetarian treats that aren’t improved with a light crispy batter and a dunk in hot oil. I can’t claim there’s much healthy going here, but it is incredibly delicious.
I have tried all kinds of recipes for such treats, they’re a favourite! Am currently loving these Halloumi fries (pictured above) and this Indian-style battered halloumi and chips. Both recipes result in tender, moist, melty halloumi with crispy, caramelised, umami coating.
